But we have several tourist destinations in the region of Western Telemark that aim to communicate in English. You'll find links to these websites here.

Rauland is the biggest winter destination in the county of Telemark, and an exciting and thriving mountain village by the foot of Hardangervidda.

Hardangervidda is Europe's largest mountain plateau. Here you find exciting wild life and great fishing- and hiking opportunities.

Here the beautiful Telemark Canal ends up, and you'll find the "fairytale palace" Dalen Hotel, an old stave church and more...

Visit Morgedal, a magic little valley which gave ski sport to the world, a village still unspoilt by over-development unlike many other tourist destinations.

Either you're coming for your winter break, to wind down after a long week, to teach your children to ski or to have fun tobogganing, Vrådal has lots to offer. Also the summer in Vrådal offers opportunities beside no others. Enchanting nature along lake Nisser, nice mountains and marvellous forests.

Seljord is a treasure chest filled with culture. Visitors will find wild flowers growing on grass covered roofs, and children who still sing the songs their great grandfathers sang. Three days in September Seljord plays host to 80,000 visitors for the agricultural fair, "Dyrsku'n", which has been arranged for 130 years.
